We were approached to provide our technical input for an article in the April 2026 issue of the journal ‘L'eau, l'industrie, les nuisances’ on the measures implemented since 1 January 2026 for the management of PFAS. Alongside monitoring the quality of water distributed through drinking water networks, controlling PFAS discharges into wastewater and industrial effluents is a major challenge in reducing emissions at the source.
The article analyses the existing regulations and provides an overview of current approaches and the techniques used by water treatment operators.
